PRIORITIZATION AND PLANNING
The result of the capacity diagnosis includes a set of recommendations to address gaps and challenges regarding the country´s disaster risk management capacities. As per the CADRI methodology, during the planning phase that follows the capacity diagnosis, the recommendations are unpacked to develop detailed implementation plans. However, given that in general the number of recommendations is significant, and that the availability of resources is limited, a previous step is required to establish their priority for implementation.
The CADRI Partnership prioritization and planning service offers governments a participatory methodology to classify the recommendations considering impact and feasibility criteria. Impact criteria assess the potential to influence the achievement of the country-specific required changes. Feasibility criteria assess whether the context conditions are adequate to achieve its implementation.
