This training module provides you with the concepts and practical illustration of Risk Governance to support strengthening your capacities to address climate and disaster risks in the Cross-sectoral.

The objective of this module is to support participants in learning about:

Learning Objectives:

• Increase understanding of what coherent disaster risk management looks like
• Increase reflection/awareness of coherence by local communities, local CSOs and local government
• Increase understanding of what CSOs should do to build coherence in disaster risk management
• Increase capacities of CSOs and local governments
• Increase commitment/accountability to support coherence

Training on the CBDRM Cookbook can be requested on demand at GNDR.

The National Training Course on Institutionalised Sustainable CBDRM primarily aims to strengthen the capacities of civil society organisations and local government DRR practitioners to implement and institutionalise sustainable CBDRM.

It will do this by:

• Strengthening capacities and increasing knowledge on the successes and barriers of local CBDRM contexts
• Strengthening relationships between local CSOs and local government
